drug dog detection

For the safety of all occupants a random drug detector dog visit is carried out annually. The dogs are similar to those used at airports and with their ‘power’ noses they don’t even need to go into the apartments for detection. For more information on Scenttech.

Fire evacuation

In the event of a fire the alarm, which has a high pitched electronic screaming sound, will be heard in every area of the building. You will need to evacuate immediately. As you pass the Fire Warden at the exit please call out your apartment number.

noise disturbance

We live near each other and it’s important that our activities don’t make it difficult for other residents to enjoy their homes. This applies both at night and during the day, as many residents are now working from home. Noise travels down and across and front doors are not sound protected so please:

  • elevate speakers off the floor to reduce sound transfer

  • use headphones if you wish to listen to loud music

  • do not run washing machines or dryers during the quiet time

  • be quiet in the hallways.

For general noise complaints talk to the person making the noise, which could mean going to another floor and using the intercom to contact the residents you need to talk to.

Quiet time at 60 Willis is 10:00pm to 7:00am.

smoke-free

60 Willis Street is proudly smoke-free, which means that smoking is not permitted in the building.

If you go out to the street to smoke please ensure you stand a good distance away from the building so that your secondhand smoke doesn’t get sucked up into the building, making it unpleasant for residents.
